Public relations abroad

The trade press is a highly effective vector of development for a business' export operations, notably to:

Promote products abroad
Test foreign markets
Find partners
Enhance your status once present on the foreign market
Attract new customers or suppliers, through participation in foreign events
Find a distributor

French press offices run operations abroad, using the foreign trade press to promote French businesses of all sizes (including Small and Medium Enterprises and Very Small Enterprises) on foreign markets.
This facilitates export operations for businesses that are already present abroad or for those that are new to the foreign market.

Presentation of a highly specific technical subject about one of the business' sectors, in the form of articles of 3 or 4 pages long.

The Ubifrance Paris press service offers its services for compiling:

It can then submit these to one of its 15 press offices located abroad in 38 countries. French businesses can also participate in a yearly event _ " International Press Office Meetings "_ with the presence of press office representatives and with scheduled workshops such as "communicating in the foreign press: why and how?" and with individual interviews with businesses. Simply fill out the subscription form to sign up for the event and send it to Ubifrance by post, fax or submit it on-line.

A press article can be written about a specific technique or can contain a customer testimonial on the technique.
This press article is also accessible to an association of artisans who want to examine a specific area of the subject.
Ubifrance offers tailor-made services for communicating abroad in a personalised manner with specialised journalists, in view of establishing long-term relations.


Press invitations

This involves inviting journalists to events in which the company will be participating, such as exhibitions and trade fairs abroad. Breakfasts can be scheduled, journalists can be invited and shown round the stands, individual interviews can be organised.


Press conference

The French company can organise formal meetings with journalists to announce an event such as the opening of a subsidiary, the signing of a contract or a new partnership etc. This concerns companies who are already present on the foreign market. The service is therefore more costly than other methods communication; it mainly concerns Asia.


Inviting journalists in France

This involves inviting 2 to 5 journalists to France. They can come from several different regions, from the same country or from different countries, to meet with companies and institutional investors. This costs 550 € per invited journalist with the possibility of translating and adapting the programme, using a press officer during the trip, following-up journalists on their return, researching the coverage of the company in the foreign press (paper and electronic) and compilation of a press-book.


Placing an advertisement or announcement

The company can place an advertisement or announcement of twenty lines maximum in the local papers abroad, with the option of selecting Web publications or Websites and translating and adapting the advertisement.
