For the majority, grants for export are allocated on an individual basis in the Arts and Crafts sector. An Arts and Crafts network is in the pipeline for the end of 2007, for allocating collective grants: "Métiers de la création, des Métiers d’Art, du design", and will be launching invitations to bid.Individual grants
ARCAF (Appui Régional à la Commercialisation Artisanale Francilienne)
This organisation concerns businesses registered with the Chambers of trade (except independent artists) and is not exclusive to the Ile-de-France region.
The ARCAF is suitable for Very Small Enterprises and is split into 2 sections:
•Grants in France
To a limit of 1,500 € per company with 2 grants per year and a maximum of 6 trade fairs over a 5-year period.
• Grants abroad
To a limit of 4,000€ per company with maximum 2 trade fairs per year over a period that can exceed 5 years.
Funding notably concerns Europe, Russia, Japan, China (particularly Shanghai), as well as the United Arab Emirates (with Dubai).
The ARCAF is suitable for Very Small Enterprises and Small and Medium Enterprises registered with the trade register and even companies with a status that falls between large and small enterprises. Funding is hard to come by for such companies due to their unclear status (which partially explains why they are dying out). To a limit of 4,000€.
