Marketing Insurance
DefinitionThis insurance policy is managed by Coface and insures the policyholder against the failure of a marketing drive on a foreign market.
Description
Financial support for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and even for Very Small Enterprises launching export operations. It varies for each project and can amount to up to 2,000€ for Very Small Enterprise projects and up to 1 million euros for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise projects.
The guarantee period is 4 years maximum.
Types of operations
Marketing insurance is available for enterprises with turnover below 150 million euros. For VSEs with turnover below or equal to 1.5 million euros, compensation to the amount of 32.5% of the yearly budget can be advanced, paid once the contract has been signed then balanced at the end of the financial year.
The compensation paid during the guarantee period at the end of each 12-month financial year is equal to the balance between expenditure (market research, travel expenses, living expenses, trademark and patent registration expenses, trade fair participation expenses etc.) and revenues. If the balance is negative, the guaranteed portion amounts to 65% of expenses. For the five priority-category countries (United-States, Japan, Russia, China, India), it amounts to 80%.
