Certification
DefinitionThis is a procedure for obtaining the "label France".
Description
It aims to accompany French businesses undertaking collective international promotional operations which meet given quality and economic-interest criteria (minimum five businesses).
Type of operation
Operations include: France pavilions organised at trade fairs abroad, presentations of products and skills (conferences, etc.), meetings with buyers and foreign partners (visits to points of sales, business forums, etc.) as well as invitations for foreign buyers to trade fairs approved by Coface for marketing insurance.
The full list of trade fairs in France approved by Coface for Marketing insurance is available at: www.coface.fr/dmt/rubb_asspro/indexb.htm
Procedure
Funding is available for certified projects that undertake to reduce participation fees for French businesses.
It is allocated according to the type of operation, the geographical sector, the activity sector and the operator's profile. The amount varies proportionately to the number of businesses benefiting from the project. It is limited to 30% of the sum of operational expenses for the certified project (excluding operating costs, transport and travel expenses for the participating businesses).
Special financial support is available for certified projects taking place in pilot countries or priority countries, as well as in priority market sectors set forth in the Plan d’Action Sectoriel à l’Exportation (PASE) and in the competition centres.
Pilot countries: USA, Japan, China, India, Russia. Germany also benefits from this financial support as France's main business partner .
Priority countries: South Africa, Algeria, Canada, South Korea, Brazil, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, UK, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey:
There are ten sector-based plans of action concerning priority actions and strategies for businesses in a specific sector: missionlabellisation@ubifrance.fr; and for the competition centres: www.competitivite.gouv.fr.
Comment
The certification procedure does not apply to operations involving provision of information, training or funding for going concern businesses.
The most promising certified project is awarded 3,000€ incl. VAT and the average amount awarded is 1,000€ incl. VAT.
Procedure and contact info
The application form is available on line on the Ubifrance Website: www.ubifrance.fr in the "label France" section. It will be studied monthly by a committee chaired by the French Ministry for SMEs, which will assess the suitability of the sector/country, the potential of French enterprises to participate in the collective project and the operator's capacity to set up the project.
