Transnational section of the RARE programme
The ECIPA Campania de la Confédération nationale de l’artisanat in Italy, the Naples Consorzio Officina and the SEMA (Société d’Encouragement aux Métiers d’Art) in France have partnered up to coordinate the RARE programme (Résurgence Artisanat Reprise Entreprise - Crafts Industry Resurgence and Business Recovery) with the mission of promoting and developing the Arts and Crafts in France and in Italy. These partners have worked together to implement the following actions, summarised in the white book « Mobility in the Arts and Crafts industry in Europe ».Organisation of seminars:
- Professional mobility in Europe, 12th and 13th December 2006 in Paris (Download transcription file: mobilite.doc, report: interior decorating trades (warning: 80Mb powerpoint file), presentation of the ECIT, presentation of the CEDIT, of the Nikkarikescus, and Upholsterers.
- Rare skills in February 2007 in Naples.
- The place of women in the Arts and Crafts industry, on 28th and 29th March 2007 in Paris (Download file: Women and the Arts and Crafts, seminar: Women and transmission of know-how, Naples employability centre, Gender-defined analysis of internships in the cabinet-making industry).
- Arts and Crafts cooperatives and districts, 24th and 25th May 2007 in Naples.
Programme of Franco-Italian promotional events
3 exhibitions were organised in France and in Italy:
- A photographic exhibition in Paris, from 9th to 12th November 2006, in the framework of the Salon Européen du Patrimoine Culturel.
- An exhibition at the SEMA Gallery in Paris, December 2006.
- An exhibition in Naples, Italy, May 2007.
Creation of a network of European businesses offering work experience or jobs in the Arts and Crafts sector, scheme coordinated by SEMA and UNAMA
The http://www.moveart.org Website features a database of over 700 training organisations in 25 countries, a list of businesses for finding work experience or jobs in the furniture industry, in France, Italy and Germany (which when complete will encompass all Arts and Crafts disciplines), a list of funds for mobility and Mobility support organisations, a "tool box" featuring practical legal and administrative information for mobility and a list of the sector's major recurrent events.
