Missions and Actions
Information on the Arts and Crafts sector: SEMA media librarySema's media library - an information resource centre dedicated to the Arts and Crafts sector.
- inventories the sector's news
- receives students, adults or professionals and answers their questions
- houses a collection of specialist documents and films for public consultation: documents, reviews, books and documentaries
- produces document databases available for consultation on the Sema Website
- produces informative documents: career profiles, monthly press reviews, bibliographies
- maintains a database of courses in France and a database of European teaching organisations
- loans out films for use during events or for illustrating the different trades in the sector
- has a projection room with a seating capacity of thirty for organising film screenings

Accessible to all and free of charge from Tuesday to Friday, 2-5 p.m.

Promoting Arts and Crafts
SEMA provides communication and promotion tools dedicated to the Arts and Crafts sector, notably with its galerie d’actualité, a gallery for exhibiting and exploring Arts and Crafts and the « Métiers d’Art » magazine
It also organises events such as:
- SEMA prizes destined to promote professionals and students and to generate media coverage for the Arts and Crafts sector throughout the year, on a local, regional and national scale.
- Journées des Métiers d’Art, an essential meeting for professionals with the public.
- Les Rencontres Nationales des Métiers d’Art, a yearly meeting for all Arts and Crafts players capitalising on issues affecting the sector and exemplary actions, in view of boosting the sector's development.
- Gallery open to all, providing an opportunity to explore the extraordinary cultural wealth of the Arts and Crafts world. The SEMA Gallery is an ideal venue for discovering, understanding and appreciating Arts and Crafts in their current form and in the light of their future evolution.
